Cleansing is important to remove grime that builds up on the skin causing clogged pours and pimples. Cleansers are far more effective for removing make-up than soap and are much gentler on the skin. Most soap contains caustic soda which upsets the skins natural pH.
Rosewater & Aloe Cream Cleanser - ideal for normal and dry skin
2 Tbsp
beeswax or soy lecithin
2 Tbsp
sweet almond oil
6 Tbsp
purified water
2 Tbsp
aloe vera juice
2 Tbsp
rosewater
Melt wax and oil in a small bowl, set in a water bath, in a fry pan.
Pour water and aloe into mixture and blend with a mixer, until thickened.
Pour into sterilized jar and place the lid on.
Allow to cool then add rose water and mix well.
Smooth over face, gently massaging skin, then wash off with warm water.
Coconut & Avocado Cream Cleanser – for dry skin
This beautifully rich and moisturizing cleanser is rich in vitamins A and E, which are necessary for skin health.
1 Tbsp
beeswax or soy lecithin
2 Tbsp
coconut oil
4 Tbsp
avocado oil
2 Tbsp
purified water
Melt beeswax and oils in a small bowl, set in a water bath, in a fry pan.
Warm water and add to oils, beating gently until thickened.
Pour into a sterilized jar and seal with a lid.
Smooth over face, gently massaging skin, then wash off with warm water.
Cucumber & Almond Cleansing lotion – combination skins
Almond and cucumber helps to balance combination skin.
40 g
ground almonds
125 ml
boiling purified water

Place almonds in a muslin bag, tie and put into bowl with boiling water and soak for 2 hours, pressing bag occasionally.
Place almond milk and cucumber in a food processor and blend until smooth.
Smooth over face, gently massaging skin, then wash off with warm water.
Keeps for 3 days in the fridge.
Oat & Yoghurt Cleanser – for dry and sensitive skin
This gentle cleanser made with oatmeal is highly absorptive, hypoallergenic, and helps to soften skin. Oats have also been clinically shown to help heal dry, itchy skin.
¼ cup
fine oatmeal
¼ cup
natural yoghurt yogurt
Mix ingredients together in a small bowl.
Smooth over face, gently massaging skin, then wash off with warm water.
Keep in the fridge for up to a week.
